A Mountain Skills course with Extreme Ireland Adventures will equip you with the general knowledge and skills you will need to hike and navigate through a mountain range safely. This Mountain Skills 1 course is and introductory course to mountain or hill-walking and it includes training in route planning, compass, personal equipment, map reading and navigation.
You will learn from the best mountain leaders in the country with years of experience on the mountains. The course is a Mountaineering Ireland syllabus held in the Wicklow Mountains, starting from Laragh and the course leader is a qualified international Mountain Leader. Extreme Ireland Adventures also has been awarded the ‘Goldstar Award’ by EFQM ( European Foundation for Quality Management ) for service quality.

With currently 60 people employed, Extreme Ireland Adventures operates several walking and adventure tours of Ireland and also some international adventures tours including ; The Northern Lights in Norway, Slovenia and Montenegro.
